Scott Hill – Attorney
Scott has been an attorney since 1991. He received his undergraduate degree in three years from Missouri State University, Cum Laude, and received his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri.
Scott became a partner at a St. Louis law firm in 1994 at the age of 26, before starting his own law office in 2002. Scott’s practice covered several areas of law, including real estate, contracts, general business, financial and estate planning. He has started, and helped start, businesses for decades. Among those were a real estate company and a financial and insurance planning company where heserved as VP and Chief Legal Officer. Scott has also been privileged to serve as general counsel and/or Board of Directors member for several not-for-profit organizations.
For the last ten years before joining Hogue &Barnett, Scott worked for afinancial services company where he utilized Charitable Remainder Trusts and other specialized tools in tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals. It is that specialized experience that Scott hopes to use to help expand our practice and increase the planning tools w e can utilize for our clients.
Scott and his wife Sheila have been married since 1989 and enjoy their two children and now three grandchildren. Faith and family has always been a crucial part of Scott’s life. That is why he joined the Hogue Barnett family. When Scott was first introduced to the firm through a dear friend, he was impressed by the knowledge of the attorneys and the systems they have developed over decades of specializing in estate planning. But, it was the incredible focus on the care of their clients and the overwhelming sense of family created by all of the staff that convinced him that Hogue Barnett was the place for Scott and his family.
